Time for a communal voice post?

It's been a while now; I read Whirl's post this morning that he's in his own "I'm just about at the novel-writing finish line" funk, and lots of the rest of you are working on staying free from the clutches of the Koala Claw (those are a very good thing, those claws - they jumpstart brain cells on a dime).

Do we have time for a voice thingy?

What's the topic?

When's the date?

I'm reminded of Barry Cryer's famous joke about needing someone to invent the high speed stair-lift to get me upstairs before I've forgotten why I wanted to go in the first place.

Right now, I'm up for anything not involving glue or onions.

I'm sorry, Whirl, but the voice thingie is going to involve glue and onions.

My brain is entirely empty at the moment so I'll leave the suggesting of topics to someone else.

I'm pressed for time like crazy. I haven't even been able to read a fraction of the blogs I usually do. While I'd love to participate, I can't even promise to listen this time around. Oy!

I think we should read from our favourite children's book and we should try and get it up for Mothering Sunday which is next Sunday.

Onions and glue optional.

Nice idea Jane!

I'd love to participate, but like Sarah I'm really pressed for time right now. I shouldn't even be on this blog.

We always have time for a voice thingy.

In some recent Whirl comment, Kiersten and I voted on singing, but I'm not sure how in earnest we were.

Ooooh! Children's books! Buzzy bees and ickle kittens and none of that heads rent from torsoes kinda in-da-hood psychopath stuff.

Oh, Janey - great idea! I have some favorites that my girls loved to hear me read to them, over and over again.

Aerin, how about if we have 'singing a song from a lullaby or children's movie or something like that' as an option?
Would that be all right?

Those of us in England in April should read a whole thing, all together. Wait. That's an awful idea. It would take away time from the drinking and socializing.

Children's book? Can I read from the unlucky 26?

Wahhhh. Rub our faces in it, why don't you.

Robin - I'm good with anything - I like the children's lullaby/kid song - what do others think?

Yep - let's either do a reading from a children's book or a song, if you'd rather.

I can't sing worth squat, so I'll be reading. I'm gonna go through the box of my daughter's books - the ones they had when they were very young, and I read to them each night.

Pete - it would be fun to do something for everybody together, and put it on our blogs to say hi!

No, Pete, no. Drink and socialize and then do it. It will be so much funnier.

I'm in for reading from a children's book!

Hey Rob! Just popping in to say hi, it's been a while. I hope all is well with you. I'm making progess here, after having rearranged a few chapters and rewriting the parts that needed it, starting to lay down some new paragraphs. It feels good.

I hope to catch up with you this week.

Hey Wood!

Gonna do a reading with us??

Wait, I don't want to be the only one singing. Is anyone else singing? Even singing whilst rending heads from torsoes?

I'm a terrible singer so I might sing just because it would be funnier. :)

It's this coming Sunday,
March 22nd.

Can we get them up by then?
I think I can do it.

Sunday sounds great.

I'm preaching this Sunday and the sermon is not being helpful in writing itself, so it may be late in the day before I get mine posted.
