In a few weeks, when Whirl's strong draft is ready and he is, thus, ready to celebrate, let's do another voice thing, a celebration among friends. What do you say?
And if you're up for it, what should we talk about this time?

I still haven't figured out how to record on my computer, so I doubt I'll be in this one, either. :(
writtenwyrd - have you got any friends or family who are computer geeks? I really would like it if you could find a way to join in.
Robin - yes let's go for it. I enjoyed our last one a lot but this time I'd like to do something that won't be too racy for any Mormon friends who might pop in.
Ha! Thanks, FH. I'll admit, as funny as I found the idea last time, the execution was a little much for my...delicate sensibilities?
Depending on my schedule, I can probably do it. Thursday or Friday posts work best for me.
There's no need to hang on for me if you're desperate to warble like a cherub — or even a horse.
We definitely need something Momobuddionic this time round, and maybe as it's Valentines Day in a couple of weeks we could do something slushily romantic.
Alternatively, we can wait for that naughty bear from Down Under to show up. Bet she'll think of something.
Slushily romantic offends my delicate sensibilities. But I'm in whatever is decided.
**also waiting for naughty bear's suggestion**
I am distressed by my reputation.
How about we turn Valentine's day around? Read something slushily romantic in the least romantic way possible?
I would like to play along this time. As I have no travel scheduled after I get home from my current trip, I could probably pull it off. Again, the Down Under Bear has come up with a splendid idea. I can imagine composing, and then reading, and anti-Valentine.
Hi all,
I'm fine with a one-off non-racy, as long as it's a one off.
I'm very libertarian in my views, and by that I mean, I have a live and let live personal philosophy - to each his or her own, with no self-righteousness allowed, so I'm not terribly comfortable with censorship, to be honest.
But I love McK's creative idea, so in the spirit of friendship, I'm good with this for our celebratory collective February reading.
Oh, Robin, I hope you don't think I was advocating censorship. I certainly didn't want to hold anyone back. You are all welcome to be as sexy as you want. I can't imagine Robin not being sexy no matter what she tried ; ) I might not play along but I've got no problem with other people doing it. My puritanical values are just that--mine. Like you said, live and let live ; )
Robin - I wasn't suggesting anyone else should do something non-racy, just that I wanted to do something that Kiersten and Natalie wouldn't find awkward this time.
I'd be happy to listen to your gorgeous Southern accent purring over something sexy. Although, if we follow McK's suggestion (which is a good one) then we're all going to have to try not to purr!
Sounds fine, and no worries. After all, it's not like we do steamy stuff every time, anyway. I just didn't want constraint to become the m.o.
Plus, I love you all.
I can't imagine Robin's voice NOT being steamy - so I like McK's idea of serious valentines. ;)
OK, then, serious valentines it is!
freddie, we'll do a Thursday post, honey, so you can play.
How about February 12th?
EE, you gonna play?
I gotta get hold of a copy of Bridges of Madison County. I can't wait to read that in a newscast-like tone of voice. Hah.
I meant this as a kind of antidote to the last one!
Hey McK,
We like the idea of 'slushily romantic, read in the least romantic way possible'!
I should be able to do this. Let me know when.
